Thoughtful Construction
"This is an era of specialists, each of whom sees his own problem and is unaware of or intolerant of the larger frame into which it fits."
Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
Thoughtful Construction is attention to detail throughout the planning and performance of a project. It's noticing opportunities to include or adapt features of the project so the end product accommodates the way you live. It's understanding how the improvements will change the ways other spaces are used and even affect the other systems already in the house. It's pre-planning the process to minimize potential surprises or unexpected expenses and maximize long-term enjoyment, satisfaction and value.
It's also having a keen sense of the disruption a remodeling project can cause and doing what we can to allow you to maintain your normal routine in spite of the construction disruption. We may even let your neighbor know that we are working in the area and that they can contact us if they have any special concerns with construction traffic.
A renovation project is involved and intrusive. We understand you are investing in a process as well as a product, and do what we can to reduce your stress. While "The Funk Chart" is humorous, we have also found that it is an accurate depiction of the emotions of all involved.
Thoughtful Construction requires a clear big picture and consistent focus on the final objectives. It is a thorough understanding of all the pieces that are required for a project, how they will be assembled, and how they will function.
